审判巴比伦
少女巴比伦☛“少女巴比伦”：原文直译“少女巴比伦女子”。 哪， 下来坐在尘埃； 迦勒底☛“迦勒底”：原文直译“迦勒底女子”；下同。啊， 没有宝座，要坐在地上； 你不再称为柔弱娇嫩。Come down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: there is no throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called tender and delicate.
2要用磨磨面， 揭去面纱， 脱去长裙， 露腿渡河。Take the millstones, and grind meal: uncover thy locks, make bare the leg, uncover the thigh, pass over the rivers.
3你的下体必被露出； 你的羞辱必被看见。 我要报复， 谁也不宽容☛“谁也不宽容”或译“谁也不能阻止我”。。Thy nakedness shall be uncovered, yea, thy shame shall be seen: I will take vengeance, and I will not meet thee as a man.
4我们的救赎主是以色列的圣者， 他的名为万军之耶和华。As for our redeemer, the LORD of hosts is his name, the Holy One of Israel.
5迦勒底啊， 你要静坐，进入黑暗中， 因你不再称为万国之后。Sit thou silent, and get thee into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called, The lady of kingdoms.
6我向我的百姓发怒， 使我的产业受凌辱， 将他们交在你手中； 然而你毫不怜悯他们， 连老年人你也加极重的轭。I was wroth with my people, I have polluted mine inheritance, and given them into thine hand: thou didst shew them no mercy; upon the ancient hast thou very heavily laid thy yoke.
7你说：“我必永远为后。” 你不将这事放在心上， 也不思想事情的结局。And thou saidst, I shall be a lady for ever: so that thou didst not lay these things to thy heart, neither didst remember the latter end of it.
8你这专好宴乐、以为地位稳固的， 现在当听这话。 你心中说： “惟有我，除我以外再没有别的。 我必不致寡居， 也不经历丧子之痛。”Therefore hear now this, thou that art given to pleasures, that dwellest carelessly, that sayest in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me; I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children:
9哪知，丧子、寡居这两件事 一日之间忽然临到你； 你虽多行邪术、广施魔咒， 这两件事必全然临到你身上。But these two things shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood: they shall come upon thee in their perfection for the multitude of thy sorceries, and for the great abundance of thine enchantments.
10你倚靠自己的恶行，说： “无人看见我。” 你的智慧聪明使你走偏， 你心里说： “惟有我，除我以外再没有别的了。”For thou hast trusted in thy wickedness: thou hast said, None seeth me. Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee; and thou hast said in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me.
11但灾祸临到你， 你不知如何驱除； 灾害落在你身上， 你也无法除掉， 你所不知道的毁灭必忽然临到你身上。Therefore shall evil come upon thee; thou shalt not know from whence it riseth: and mischief shall fall upon thee; thou shalt not be able to put it off: and desolation shall come upon thee suddenly, which thou shalt not know.
12尽管使用从幼年就施行的魔符和众多的邪术吧！ 或许有些帮助， 或许可以致胜。Stand now with thine enchantments, and with the multitude of thy sorceries, wherein thou hast laboured from thy youth; if so be thou shalt be able to profit, if so be thou mayest prevail.
13你筹划太多，以致疲倦。 让那些观天象，看星宿， 在初一说预言的都起来， 救你脱离所要临到你的事！Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee.
14看哪，他们要像碎秸被火焚烧， 无法救自己脱离火焰的魔掌； 没有炭火可以取暖☛“取暖”或译“烤饼”。， 你也不能坐在火旁。Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there shall not be a coal to warm at, nor fire to sit before it.
15你所操劳的事都像这样； 从你幼年以来与你交易的都各奔己路， 没有一人来救你。Thus shall they be unto thee with whom thou hast laboured, even thy merchants, from thy youth: they shall wander every one to his quarter; none shall save thee.
