巴比伦王的使节
（王下20．12－19）
那时，巴拉但的儿子，巴比伦王米罗达．巴拉但听见希西家病得痊愈，就送书信和礼物给他。
At that time Merodachbaladan, the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a present to Hezekiah: for he had heard that he had been sick, and was recovered.
2希西家欢喜见使者，就将自己宝库里的金子、银子、香料、贵重的膏油和他军械库里一切的兵器，以及他所有的财宝，都给他们看；在他家中和全国之内，希西家没有一样不给他们看的。And Hezekiah was glad of them, and shewed them the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious ointment, and all the house of his armour, and all that was found in his treasures: there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah shewed them not.
3于是以赛亚先知到希西家王那里去，对他说：“这些人说了些什么？他们从哪里来见你？”希西家说：“他们从远方的巴比伦来见我。”Then came Isaiah the prophet unto king Hezekiah, and said unto him, What said these men? and from whence came they unto thee? And Hezekiah said, They are come from a far country unto me, even from Babylon.
4以赛亚说：“他们在你家里看见了什么？”希西家说：“凡我家中所有的，他们都看见了；我财宝中没有一样东西不给他们看的。”Then said he, What have they seen in thine house? And Hezekiah answered, All that is in mine house have they seen: there is nothing among my treasures that I have not shewed them.
5以赛亚对希西家说：“你要听万军之耶和华的话，Then said Isaiah to Hezekiah, Hear the word of the LORD of hosts:
6耶和华说：‘看哪，日子将到，凡你家里所有的，并你祖先积蓄到如今的一切，都要被掳到巴比伦去，不留下一样；Behold, the days come, that all that is in thine house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store until this day, shall be carried to Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith the LORD.
7从你本身所生的孩子，其中必有被掳到巴比伦王宫当太监的。’”And of thy sons that shall issue from thee, which thou shalt beget, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.
8希西家对以赛亚说：“你所说耶和华的话甚好。”因为他想：“在我有生之年必有太平和安稳。”Then said Hezekiah to Isaiah, Good is the word of the LORD which thou hast spoken. He said moreover, For there shall be peace and truth in my days.
