耶和华对以色列的爱
你这不怀孕、不生育的，要欢呼； 你这未曾经过产难的，要欢呼，扬声呼喊； 因为被遗弃的妇人， 比有丈夫的人儿女更多； 这是耶和华说的。Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD.
2要扩张你帐幕之地， 伸展你居所的幔子，不要缩回； 要放长你的绳子， 坚固你的橛子。Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;
3因为你要向左向右开展， 你的后裔必得列国为业， 又使荒废的城镇有人居住。For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.
4不要惧怕，因你必不致蒙羞； 不要抱愧，因你必不致受辱。 你必忘记年轻时的羞愧， 不再记得守寡的耻辱。Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.
5因为造你的是你的丈夫， 万军之耶和华是他的名； 救赎你的是以色列的圣者， 他必称为全地之神。For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.
6耶和华召你， 如同召回心中忧伤遭遗弃的妇人， 就是年轻时所娶被遗弃的妻子； 这是你的神说的。For the LORD hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God.
7我离弃你不过片时， 却要大施怜悯将你寻回。For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.
8我因涨溢的怒气， 一时向你转脸， 但我要以永远的慈爱怜悯你； 这是耶和华－你的救赎主说的。In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the LORD thy Redeemer.
9这事于我有如挪亚的洪水； 我怎样起誓不再使挪亚的洪水淹没全地， 也照样起誓不再向你发怒， 且不斥责你。For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.
10大山可以挪开， 小山可以迁移， 但我的慈爱必不离开你， 我平安的约也不迁移； 这是怜悯你的耶和华说的。耶路撒冷的将来
For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.
11你这受困苦、被暴风卷走、不得怜悯的城， 看哪，我必以灰泥来做你的石头， 以蓝宝石立你的根基，O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires.
12又以红宝石造你的女墙， 以晶莹的珠玉造你的城门， 以珍贵的宝石造你四围的边界。And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones.
13你的儿女都要领受耶和华的教导， 你的儿女必大享平安。And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children.
14你必因公义得坚立， 必远离欺压，毫不惧怕； 你必远离惊吓，惊吓必不临近你。In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.
15若有人攻击你，这非出于我； 凡攻击你的，必因你仆倒。Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.
16看哪，我造了那吹炭火、打造合用兵器的铁匠； 我也造了那残害人、行毁灭的人。Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.
17凡为攻击你而造的兵器必无效用； 在审判时兴起用口舌攻击你的， 你必驳倒他。 这是耶和华仆人的产业， 是他们从我所得的义； 这是耶和华说的。No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.
