主呼召以赛亚作先知
当乌西雅王崩的那年，我看见主坐在高高的宝座上。他的衣裳下摆遮满圣殿。
In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the LORD sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.
2上有撒拉弗侍立，各有六个翅膀：两个翅膀遮脸，两个翅膀遮脚，两个翅膀飞翔，Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.
3彼此呼喊说： “圣哉！圣哉！圣哉！万军之耶和华； 他的荣光遍满全地！”And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.
4因呼喊者的声音，门槛的根基震动，殿里充满了烟云。And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.
5那时我说：“祸哉！我灭亡了！因为我是嘴唇不洁的人，住在嘴唇不洁的民中，又因我亲眼看见大君王－万军之耶和华。”Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.
6有一撒拉弗向我飞来，手里拿着烧红的炭，是用火钳从坛上取下来的，Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:
7用炭沾我的口，说：“看哪，这炭沾了你的嘴唇，你的罪孽便除掉，你的罪恶就赦免了。”And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.
8我听见主的声音说：“我可以差遣谁呢？谁肯为我们去呢？”我说：“我在这里，请差遣我！”Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
9他说：“你去告诉这百姓说： ‘你们听了又听，却不明白； 看了又看，却不晓得。’And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.
10要使这百姓心蒙油脂， 耳朵发沉， 眼睛昏花； 恐怕他们眼睛看见， 耳朵听见， 心里明白， 回转过来，就得医治。”Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.
11我就说：“主啊，这到几时为止呢？”他说： “直到城镇荒凉，无人居住， 房屋空无一人，土地极其荒芜；Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate,
12耶和华将人迁到远方， 国内被撇弃的土地很多。And the LORD have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land.
13国内剩下的人若还有十分之一， 也必被吞灭。 然而如同大树与橡树，虽被砍伐， 残干却仍存留， 圣洁的苗裔是它的残干。”But yet in it shall be a tenth, and it shall return, and shall be eaten: as a teil tree, and as an oak, whose substance is in them, when they cast their leaves: so the holy seed shall be the substance thereof.
