耶路撒冷受围困
祸哉！亚利伊勒☛“亚利伊勒”：代表耶路撒冷，意思是“祭坛”；下同。，亚利伊勒， 大卫安营的城， 任凭你年复一年， 节期照常循环，Woe to Ariel, to Ariel, the city where David dwelt! add ye year to year; let them kill sacrifices.
2我却要使亚利伊勒遭难； 它必悲伤哀号， 它对我是亚利伊勒。Yet I will distress Ariel, and there shall be heaviness and sorrow: and it shall be unto me as Ariel.
3我必四围安营攻击你， 筑台围困你， 堆垒攻击你。And I will camp against thee round about, and will lay siege against thee with a mount, and I will raise forts against thee.
4你必败落，从地里说话， 你的言语细微出于尘埃。 你的声音必像那招魂者的声音出于地， 你的言语呢喃出于尘埃。And thou shalt be brought down, and shalt speak out of the ground, and thy speech shall be low out of the dust, and thy voice shall be, as of one that hath a familiar spirit, out of the ground, and thy speech shall whisper out of the dust.
5你那成群的陌生人☛“你那成群的陌生人”：死海古卷是“你那成群骄傲的人”；七十士译本是“不敬虔的人的财富”。要像细尘， 暴民要像吹起的糠秕； 这事必顷刻之间忽然临到。Moreover the multitude of thy strangers shall be like small dust, and the multitude of the terrible ones shall be as chaff that passeth away: yea, it shall be at an instant suddenly.
6万军之耶和华必使雷轰、地震、巨响、旋风、暴风， 并吞灭的火焰临到它。Thou shalt be visited of the LORD of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire.
7那时，攻击亚利伊勒列国的军队， 与一切攻击亚利伊勒和它城堡， 并带给它患难的， 必如梦，如夜间的异象；And the multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel, even all that fight against her and her munition, and that distress her, shall be as a dream of a night vision.
8又像饥饿的人在梦中吃饭， 醒了仍觉饥肠辘辘； 或像口渴的人在梦中喝水， 醒了仍觉发昏，心里想喝。 攻击锡安山列国的军队也必如此。无人听警告
It shall even be as when an hungry man dreameth, and, behold, he eateth; but he awaketh, and his soul is empty: or as when a thirsty man dreameth, and, behold, he drinketh; but he awaketh, and, behold, he is faint, and his soul hath appetite: so shall the multitude of all the nations be, that fight against mount Zion.
9你们等候惊奇吧！ 你们沉迷宴乐吧！ 他们醉了，却非因酒； 东倒西歪，却非因烈酒。Stay yourselves, and wonder; cry ye out, and cry: they are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink.
10因为耶和华将沉睡的灵浇灌你们， 遮住你们的眼， 眼就是先知， 覆盖你们的头， 头就是先见。For the LORD hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered.
11所有的默示，在你们看来都如封住的书卷，人将这书卷交给识字的人，说：“请念吧！”他说：“我不能念，因为它封住了。”And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed:
12又将这书卷交给不识字的人，说：“请念吧！”他说：“我不识字。”And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.
13主说：“因这百姓以口亲近我， 用嘴唇尊敬我， 心却远离我； 他们敬畏我， 不过是领受前人的命令。Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:
14所以，看哪，我要在这百姓中行奇妙的事， 就是奇妙又奇妙的事。 他们智慧人的智慧必然消灭， 聪明人的聪明必然消失。”Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.
15祸哉！那些向耶和华深藏谋略的， 他们在暗中行事，说： “有谁看见我们呢？ 谁会注意我们呢？”Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the LORD, and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who seeth us? and who knoweth us?
16你们把事情颠倒了， 岂可看陶匠如陶土呢？ 受造物岂可论创造者说， “他并没有造我”？ 制成物岂可论制作者说， “他根本不懂”？将来的希望
Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter's clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding?
17黎巴嫩变为田园， 田园看似森林， 不是只需要一些时间吗？Is it not yet a very little while, and Lebanon shall be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field shall be esteemed as a forest?
18那时，聋子必听见这书上的话； 盲人的眼必从迷蒙黑暗中看见。And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness.
19困苦的人必因耶和华增添欢喜， 人间贫穷的必因以色列的圣者快乐。The meek also shall increase their joy in the LORD, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.
20因为残暴的人归于无有， 傲慢的人已经灭绝， 一切存心作恶的都被剪除。For the terrible one is brought to nought, and the scorner is consumed, and all that watch for iniquity are cut off:
21他们凭一句话定一个人有罪， 为在城门口断是非的设下罗网， 又用虚无的事屈枉义人。That make a man an offender for a word, and lay a snare for him that reproveth in the gate, and turn aside the just for a thing of nought.
22所以，救赎亚伯拉罕的耶和华 论到雅各家时如此说： “雅各必不再羞愧， 面容也不再变色。Therefore thus saith the LORD, who redeemed Abraham, concerning the house of Jacob, Jacob shall not now be ashamed, neither shall his face now wax pale.
23当他的儿女看见 我的手在他们当中所成就的事情☛“当...事情”或译“但他看见他的众子，就是我手的工作在他那里”。， 他们就必尊我的名为圣， 尊雅各的圣者为圣， 他们必敬畏以色列的神。But when he seeth his children, the work of mine hands, in the midst of him, they shall sanctify my name, and sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, and shall fear the God of Israel.
24心中迷糊的必明白， 发怨言的必领受训诲。”They also that erred in spirit shall come to understanding, and they that murmured shall learn doctrine.
