老年人的祈祷
耶和华啊，我投靠你， 求你叫我永不羞愧！In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion.
2求你凭你的公义搭救我，救拔我； 侧耳听我，拯救我！Deliver me in thy righteousness, and cause me to escape: incline thine ear unto me, and save me.
3求你作我常来栖身☛“栖身”：有古卷是“避难”。的磐石， 你已经吩咐要救我， 因为你是我的岩石、我的山寨。Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou art my rock and my fortress.
4我的神啊，求你救我脱离恶人的手， 脱离不义和残暴之人的手。Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.
5主耶和华啊，你是我所盼望的； 自我年幼，你是我所倚靠的。For thou art my hope, O Lord GOD: thou art my trust from my youth.
6我自出母胎被你扶持， 使我出母腹的是你。 我要常常赞美你！By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art he that took me out of my mother's bowels: my praise shall be continually of thee.
7许多人看我为异类， 但你是我坚固的避难所。I am as a wonder unto many; but thou art my strong refuge.
8我要满口述说赞美你的话 终日荣耀你。Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honour all the day.
9我年老的时候，求你不要丢弃我！ 我体力衰弱时，求你不要离弃我！Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth.
10我的仇敌议论我， 那些窥探要害我命的一同商议，For mine enemies speak against me; and they that lay wait for my soul take counsel together,
11说：“神已经离弃他； 你们去追赶他，捉拿他吧！ 因为没有人搭救。”Saying, God hath forsaken him: persecute and take him; for there is none to deliver him.
12神啊，求你不要远离我！ 我的神啊，求你速速帮助我！O God, be not far from me: O my God, make haste for my help.
13愿那与我为敌的，羞愧灭亡； 愿那谋害我的，受辱蒙羞。Let them be confounded and consumed that are adversaries to my soul; let them be covered with reproach and dishonour that seek my hurt.
14我却要常常仰望， 并要越发赞美你。But I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more.
15我的口要终日述说你的公义和你的救恩， 因我无从计算其数。My mouth shall shew forth thy righteousness and thy salvation all the day; for I know not the numbers thereof.
16我要述说主耶和华的大能， 我单要提说你的公义。I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only.
17神啊，自我年幼，你就教导我； 直到如今，我传扬你奇妙的作为。O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works.
18神啊，我年老发白的时候， 求你不要离弃我！ 等我宣扬你的能力给下一代， 宣扬你的大能给后世的人。Now also when I am old and greyheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come.
19神啊，你的公义极高； 行过大事的神啊，谁能像你？Thy righteousness also, O God, is very high, who hast done great things: O God, who is like unto thee!
20你是叫我多经历重大急难的， 必使我再活过来， 从地的深处救我上来。Thou, which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth.
21你必使我越发昌大， 又转来安慰我。Thou shalt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side.
22我的神啊，我要鼓瑟称谢你， 称谢你的信实！ 以色列的圣者啊，我要弹琴歌颂你！I will also praise thee with the psaltery, even thy truth, O my God: unto thee will I sing with the harp, O thou Holy One of Israel.
23我歌颂你的时候，我的嘴唇要欢呼； 我的性命，就是你所救赎的，也要欢呼。My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed.
24我的舌头也必终日讲论你的公义， 因为那些谋害我的人已经蒙羞受辱了。My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long: for they are confounded, for they are brought unto shame, that seek my hurt.
