上行之詩。求耶和華退敵
說吧，以色列：
「從我幼年以來，人屢次苦害我； Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth, may Israel now say:
2从我幼年以来，人屡次苦害我， 却没有胜过我。Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth: yet they have not prevailed against me.
3扶犁的人在我背上扶犁而耕， 耕的犁沟很长。”The plowers plowed upon my back: they made long their furrows.
4耶和华是公义的， 他砍断了恶人的绳索。The LORD is righteous: he hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked.
5愿恨恶锡安的 都蒙羞退后！Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion.
6愿他们像房顶上的草， 一发芽就枯干，Let them be as the grass upon the housetops, which withereth afore it groweth up:
7收割的不够用手抓一把， 捆禾的也不够抱满怀。Wherewith the mower filleth not his hand; nor he that bindeth sheaves his bosom.
8过路的也不说：“愿耶和华所赐的福归与你们！ 我们奉耶和华的名给你们祝福！”Neither do they which go by say, The blessing of the LORD be upon you: we bless you in the name of the LORD.
