神和他的子民
（代上16．8－22）
你们要称谢耶和华，求告他的名， 在万民中传扬他的作为！O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.
2要向他唱诗，向他歌颂， 述说他一切奇妙的作为！Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.
3要夸耀他的圣名！ 愿寻求耶和华的人心中欢喜！Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.
4要寻求耶和华与他的能力， 时常寻求他的面。Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.
5他仆人亚伯拉罕的后裔， 他所拣选雅各的子孙哪， 要记念他奇妙的作为和他的奇事， 并他口中的判语。Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;
6他是耶和华－我们的神， 全地都有他的判断。O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.
7他记念他的约，直到永远； 记念他吩咐的话，直到千代，He is the LORD our God: his judgments are in all the earth.
8就是与亚伯拉罕所立的约， 向以撒所起的誓。He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.
9他将这约向雅各定为律例， 向以色列定为永远的约，Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;
10说：“我必将迦南地赐给你， 作你们应得的产业。”And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:
11当时，他们人丁有限， 数目稀少，在那地寄居。Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:
12他们从这邦游到那邦， 从这国去到另一民族。When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.
13他不容人欺负他们， 为他们的缘故责备君王：When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people;
14“不可伤害我的受膏者， 也不可恶待我的先知。”He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;
15他命饥荒降在那地， 断绝日用的粮食☛“粮食”：原文直译“粮食的杖”。，Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
16在他们以先差遣一个人前往， 约瑟被卖为奴。Moreover he called for a famine upon the land: he brake the whole staff of bread.
17人用脚镣伤他的脚， 他被铁的项链捆锁。He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:
18耶和华的话试炼他， 直等所说的应验了。Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:
19王差人将他解开， 治理万民的把他释放，Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him.
20立他为王家之主， 掌管他一切所有的，The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free.
21使他随意捆绑他的臣宰， 将智慧教导他的长老。He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance:
22以色列也到了埃及， 雅各在含地寄居。To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom.
23耶和华使他的百姓生养众多， 使他们比敌人强盛，Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
24他使敌人的心转去恨他的百姓， 用诡计待他的仆人。And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies.
25他差遣他的仆人摩西 和他所拣选的亚伦，He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants.
26在敌人中间显他的神迹， 在含地显他的奇事。He sent Moses his servant; and Aaron whom he had chosen.
27他差遣黑暗，就有黑暗； 他们没有违背他的话。They shewed his signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham.
28他使埃及的水变为血， 令他们的鱼死了。He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.
29在他们的地上，青蛙多多滋生， 王宫的内室也是如此。He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish.
30他一吩咐，苍蝇就成群飞来， 并有蚊子进入他们四境。Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, in the chambers of their kings.
31他给他们降下冰雹为雨， 在他们的地上降下火焰。He spake, and there came divers sorts of flies, and lice in all their coasts.
32他击打他们的葡萄树和无花果树， 毁坏他们境内的树木。He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land.
33他一吩咐，就有蝗虫蝻子上来， 不计其数，He smote their vines also and their fig trees; and brake the trees of their coasts.
34吃光他们地上各样的菜蔬， 吞尽他们田地的出产。He spake, and the locusts came, and caterpillers, and that without number,
35他又击杀他们国内☛“他们国内”：有古卷是“埃及”。所有的长子， 就是他们强壮时头生的。And did eat up all the herbs in their land, and devoured the fruit of their ground.
36他却带领自己的百姓带着金子银子出来， 他支派中没有一个走不动的。He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the chief of all their strength.
37他们出来的时候，埃及人就欢喜； 因为埃及人惧怕他们。He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.
38他铺张云彩当遮蔽， 夜间使火光照。Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them.
39他们祈求，他就使鹌鹑飞来， 并用天上的粮食使他们饱足。He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night.
40他敲开磐石，水就涌出； 在干旱之处，水流成河。The people asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
41这都因他记念他的圣言 和他的仆人亚伯拉罕。He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river.
42他带领自己的百姓欢乐而出， 带领自己的选民欢呼前往。For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant.
43他把列国的地赐给他们， 他们就承受万民劳碌得来的，And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness:
44好让他们遵他的律例， 守他的律法。 哈利路亚！And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people;
