大衛在亞比米勒面前裝瘋，被趕出去，就作這詩。頌讚神的美善
（撒上21．10－14）
我要時時稱頌耶和華，
讚美他的話常在我口中。 I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2我的心必因耶和华夸耀， 谦卑的人听见就喜乐。My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.
3你们要和我一同尊耶和华为大， 让我们一同高举他的名。O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.
4我曾寻求耶和华，他就应允我， 救我脱离一切的恐惧。I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
5仰望他的人，就有光荣； 他们☛“他们”：七十士译本和其他古译本是“你们”。的脸必不蒙羞。They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.
6这困苦人呼求，耶和华就垂听， 救他脱离一切的患难。This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
7耶和华的使者在敬畏他的人四围安营， 要搭救他们。The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
8你们要尝尝主恩的滋味，便知道他是美善； 投靠他的人有福了！O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
9耶和华的圣民哪，你们当敬畏他， 因敬畏他的一无所缺。O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.
10少壮狮子尚且缺食忍饿， 但寻求耶和华的什么好处都不缺。The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.
11孩子们哪，来听我！ 我要将敬畏耶和华的道教导你们。Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD.
12有谁喜爱生命， 爱慕长寿，得享美福？What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?
13你要禁止舌头不出恶言， 嘴唇不说诡诈的话。Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.
14要弃恶行善， 寻求和睦，一心追求。Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
15耶和华的眼目看顾义人， 他的耳朵听他们的呼求。The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.
16耶和华向行恶的人变脸， 要从地上除灭他们的名字☛“名字”：原文是“纪念”。。The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
17义人呼求，耶和华听见了， 就拯救他们脱离一切患难。The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
18耶和华靠近伤心的人， 拯救心灵痛悔的人。The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
19义人多有苦难， 但耶和华救他脱离这一切，Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
20又保护他全身的骨头， 连一根也不折断。He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.
21恶必害死恶人， 恨恶义人的，必被定罪。Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.
22耶和华救赎他仆人的性命， 凡投靠他的，必不致定罪。The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.
