亞薩的詩。神的公正
神實在恩待以色列那些清心的人！
Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.
2至于我，我的脚几乎失闪， 我的步伐险些走偏；But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped.
3因为我嫉妒狂傲的人， 我看见恶人享平安。For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
4他们的力气强壮， 他们死的时候也没有疼痛。For there are no bands in their death: but their strength is firm.
5他们不像别人受苦， 也不像别人遭灾。They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men.
6所以，骄傲如链子戴在他们项上， 残暴像衣裳覆盖在他们身上。Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them as a garment.
7他们的眼睛☛“眼睛”：原文另译“罪孽”。因体胖而凸出， 他们的内心放任不羁☛“他们的内心放任不羁”：七十士译本是“他们得到心里所想的”。。Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish.
8他们讥笑人，凭恶意说欺压人的话。 他们说话自高；They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily.
9他们的口亵渎上天， 他们的舌毁谤全地。They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.
10所以他的百姓归到这里， 享受满杯的水☛“享受...水”或译“喝尽了满杯的苦水”。。Therefore his people return hither: and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them.
11他们说：“神怎能晓得？ 至高者哪会知道呢？”And they say, How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High?
12看哪，这就是恶人， 他们常享安逸，财宝增多。Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches.
13我实在徒然洁净了我的心， 徒然洗手表明我的无辜，Verily I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocency.
14因为我终日遭灾难， 每日早晨受惩治。For all the day long have I been plagued, and chastened every morning.
15我若说“我要这样讲”， 就是愧对这世代的众儿女了。If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I should offend against the generation of thy children.
16我思索要明白这事， 眼看实系为难，When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me;
17直到我进了神的圣所， 思想他们的结局。Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.
18你实在把他们安放在滑地， 使他们跌倒灭亡；Surely thou didst set them in slippery places: thou castedst them down into destruction.
19他们转眼之间成了何等荒凉！ 他们被惊恐灭尽了。How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors.
20人睡醒了，怎样看梦， 主啊，你醒了也必照样轻看他们的影像。As a dream when one awaketh; so, O Lord, when thou awakest, thou shalt despise their image.
21因此，我心里苦恼， 肺腑被刺。Thus my heart was grieved, and I was pricked in my reins.
22我这样愚昧无知， 在你面前如同畜牲。So foolish was I, and ignorant: I was as a beast before thee.
23然而，我常与你同在； 你搀扶我的右手。Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand.
24你要以你的训言引导我， 以后你必接我到荣耀里。Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.
25除你以外，在天上我有谁呢？ 除你以外，在地上我也没有所爱慕的。Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.
26我的肉体和我的心肠衰残； 但神是我心里的力量， 又是我的福分，直到永远。My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
27看哪，远离你的，必要死亡； 凡离弃你行淫的，你都灭绝了。For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee.
28但我亲近神是于我有益； 我以主耶和华为我的避难所， 好叫我述说你一切的作为。But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.
