所羅門上行之詩。稱頌神的良善
若不是耶和華建造房屋，
建造的人就枉然勞力； 若不是耶和華看守城池， 看守的人枉然警醒。 Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
2你们清晨早起，夜晚安歇， 吃劳碌得来的饭，本是枉然； 惟有耶和华所亲爱的， 必叫他安然睡觉。It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.
3看哪，儿女是耶和华所赐的产业， 所怀的胎是他所给的赏赐。Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
4人在年轻时生的儿女 好像勇士手中的箭。As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.
5箭袋充满的人有福了！ 他们在城门口和仇敌争论时必不蒙羞。Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.
