神啊，你在古時，
我們列祖的日子所做的事， 我們親耳聽見了， 我們的列祖曾為我們述說。 We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us, what work thou didst in their days, in the times of old.
2你曾用手赶出外邦人， 却栽培了我们的列祖； 你苦待万民， 却叫我们的列祖发达。How thou didst drive out the heathen with thy hand, and plantedst them; how thou didst afflict the people, and cast them out.
3因为他们不是靠自己的刀剑承受土地， 也不是靠自己的膀臂得胜， 而是靠你的右手、你的膀臂， 和你脸上的亮光， 因为你喜爱他们。For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them.
4神啊，你是我的君王， 求你发命令使雅各得胜。Thou art my King, O God: command deliverances for Jacob.
5靠你，我们要推倒我们的敌人； 靠你的名，我们要践踏那兴起攻击我们的人。Through thee will we push down our enemies: through thy name will we tread them under that rise up against us.
6因为我必不倚靠我的弓， 我的刀也不能使我得胜。For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me.
7惟有你拯救我们脱离敌人， 使恨我们的人羞愧。But thou hast saved us from our enemies, and hast put them to shame that hated us.
8我们要常常因神夸耀， 要永远颂扬你的名。（细拉）In God we boast all the day long, and praise thy name for ever. Selah.
9但如今你丢弃了我们，使我们受辱， 不和我们的军队同去。But thou hast cast off, and put us to shame; and goest not forth with our armies.
10你使我们在敌人前转身撤退， 使那恨我们的人任意抢夺。Thou makest us to turn back from the enemy: and they which hate us spoil for themselves.
11你使我们如羊当作食物， 把我们分散在列国中。Thou hast given us like sheep appointed for meat; and hast scattered us among the heathen.
12你卖了你的子民也不获利， 所得的并未加添你的资财。Thou sellest thy people for nought, and dost not increase thy wealth by their price.
13你使我们受邻国的羞辱， 被四围的人嗤笑讥讽。Thou makest us a reproach to our neighbours, a scorn and a derision to them that are round about us.
14你使我们在列国中成了笑柄， 在万民中使人摇头。Thou makest us a byword among the heathen, a shaking of the head among the people.
15因辱骂者和毁谤者的声音， 因仇敌和报仇者的缘故， 我的凌辱常常在我面前， 我脸上的羞愧将我遮蔽，My confusion is continually before me, and the shame of my face hath covered me,
16这些事都临到我们身上， 我们却没有忘记你， 也没有违背你的约；For the voice of him that reproacheth and blasphemeth; by reason of the enemy and avenger.
17我们的心并未退缩， 我们的脚也没有偏离你的路。All this is come upon us; yet have we not forgotten thee, neither have we dealt falsely in thy covenant.
18你在野狗出没之处压伤我们， 以死荫笼罩我们。Our heart is not turned back, neither have our steps declined from thy way;
19倘若我们忘记神的名， 或向外邦神明举手，Though thou hast sore broken us in the place of dragons, and covered us with the shadow of death.
20神岂不鉴察这事吗？ 因为他晓得人心里的隐秘。If we have forgotten the name of our God, or stretched out our hands to a strange god;
21我们为你的缘故终日被杀， 人看我们如将宰的羊。Shall not God search this out? for he knoweth the secrets of the heart.
22主啊，求你睡醒，为何尽睡呢？ 求你醒来，不要永远丢弃我们！Yea, for thy sake are we killed all the day long; we are counted as sheep for the slaughter.
23你为何转脸， 不顾我们所遭的苦难和所受的欺压呢？Awake, why sleepest thou, O Lord? arise, cast us not off for ever.
24我们俯伏在尘土上， 我们的肚腹紧贴地面。Wherefore hidest thou thy face, and forgettest our affliction and our oppression?
25求你兴起帮助我们！ 因你的慈爱救赎我们！For our soul is bowed down to the dust: our belly cleaveth unto the earth.
